Brio is a 164 cm Swedish Warmblood stallion by the FEI imported Swedish Warmblood stallion, Bolero 897. Brio is a very expressive stallion with uphill movement and brilliance expected of upper level dressage horses. He has a wonderful mind, is very trainable, and he passes his wonderful temperament on to his foals. He also has incredible form over fences.

Brio was the high scoring yearling colt of 2006 at SWANA inspections. Brio was the only Swedish Warmblood stallion in the US approved for breeding on the 2011 SWANA tour. As of 2014, his breeding license with SWANA has been suspended awaiting required performance achievements. He has received scores in the 70's at Training Level and mid 60's at 1st level. He is training 2nd Level and also beginning some training over fences. His competition career has been delayed due to several injuries that required lengthy recovery time.

Brio's sire, Bolero 897, was imported to the United States in 2001. Prior to his import, Bolero successfully competed in Intermediare II as he schooled for the Grand Prix. Bolero has produced offspring that has had success in both the dressage and jumper rings. Brio's dam, Anglo-Arab mare Pudding On Aires, is the dam of two Class I Swedish Warmblood foals. Prior to her career as a broodmare, she was shown over fences, winning a Regional Championship in Hunter Hack. Last year, she returned to the show ring and ended her year with a Sport Horse National Top 10 in Training Level Dressage and qualified for the USDF Region 3 Championships in both Training Level and 1st Level.

Brio has been collected and his semen has been tested and extended successfully and a freeze test has been performed, with excellent results. He has tested EVA negative.
